Prof. Jinli Xu - Wuhan University of Technology, China Dr. Jinli Xu is a distinguished individual with a Doctor of Engineering degree and holds the esteemed position of Professor and doctoral supervisor. He is recognized as a scientific and technological innovation talent in the third round of the "15551 Outstanding Talent Project" at Wuhan University of Technology. Additionally, Dr. Xu serves as the Chief Scientist at SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd. and is a Member of the Working Committee of the China Innovation Design Industry Strategic Alliance. Dr. Xu's research primarily focuses on intelligent manufacturing, mechanical design and theory, advanced automotive parts, intelligent detection, automotive fault diagnosis, and automotive transmission system vibration characteristics. | Prof. Yunhui Liu - Chinese University of Hong Kong, China Professor Yunhui Liu is the Choh-Ming Li Professor of Mechanical and Automation Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering. He received the Bachelor of Engineering degree at Beijing Institute of Technology in 1985, the Master of Engineering from Osaka University in 1989, and the Ph.D. degree in Mathematical Engineering from the University of Tokyo in 1992. After working at the Electrotechnical Laboratory of Japan as a research scientist, he joined the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1995 and was promoted to Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering in 2002. He is currently the Director of the CUHK T Stone Robotics Institute and the Director of the Hong Kong Centre for Logistics Robotics, an InnoCentre funded by the InnoHK Clusters of the HKSAR government. Professor Liu is a globally renowned scholar in robotics and automation. His research interests include vision-based robotics, logistics robotics, medical robotics, construction robotics, machine vision, and artificial intelligence. He has published over 500 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings and was listed in the Highly Cited Authors (Engineering) list by Thomson Reuters in 2013. Professor Liu has received numerous research awards from international journals, conferences, and government agencies. His research is widely funded by the Hong Kong RGC, ITF, QEF, the national strategic development grant, etc. He was the Editor-in-Chief of Robotics and Biomimetics, an IEEE Fellow, and a HKIE Fellow. |
Publication Chair
Prof. Z. Li - Technische Universiteit Delft, Netherlands Dr. Li has broad national and international collaborations with academic and industrial partners. Since 2005, when he joined the group, he has acquired more than 5.6 million euros in search funding from the Dutch national funding organizations for scientific and technological research, NOW and STW, the European Commission (EC), the International Union of Railways (UIC), the Dutch railway Infra Manager ProRail, and operator NS. Dr. Li obtained his BSc and MCs degrees in Mechanical Engineering at Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China, in 1988 and 1991, respectively. He obtained his PhD degree in computational mechanics on the numerical solution of rolling contact at Delft University of Technology in 2002. He worked between 1999 and 2005 at TNO, the Dutch organization for applied sciences, on multibody dynamics and finite element methods, as well as their applications in crashworthiness. He joined the group of railway engineers in 2005. He is currently a full professor of rail systems and monitoring. |

Prof. Lin Zou -Wuhan University of Technology, China Prof. Lin Zou has presided over several research and development projects commissioned by the National Natural Science Foundation, the Ministry of Education, and enterprises, focusing on the research of fluid mechanics theory, intelligent flow control and renewable energy power generation, new energy vehicle research and development, and intelligent manufacturing key technologies. She has published more than 50 academic papers (including more than 20 SCI/EI included) and more than 10 international conference papers. More than 10 national invention patents, utility model patents, and software copyrights have been applied for. JFS, JHD, EACFM, COE, JVC, "Journal of Applied Mechanics," "Vibration and Shock," "Hydrodynamics Research and Progress," and other international and domestic authoritative academic journal paper review experts and National Natural Science Foundation review experts. |

Prof. Xiaogang Liu -Wuhan University of Technology, China Prof. Xiaogang Liu acquired his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Queensland, Australia, and he is now a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Mechanical engineering and Instrument Science and TProf. Xiaogang Liu acquired his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Queensland, Australia, and he is now a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Mechanical Engineering and Instrument Science and Technology at the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Wuhan University of Technology. He has chaired two scientific research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and his academic outputs include academic papers, invention patents, and software copyrights in the fields of intelligent manufacturing, contact mechanics, mechanical vibration, and electromechanical control. As the leader of a provincial teaching and research project about mechanical manufacturing, he summarized these academic outputs into monographs to integrate research and education and was recognized as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Currently, he is a senior member of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, an expert in the high-tech industry in Wuhan, and was awarded the “T. A. Stewart-Dyer Prize/Frederick Harvey Trevithick Prize” by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in London. |
